My flatmate and I visited ShushinoEN in London’s Aldgate East for a Sunday night treat. Although the restaurant looks a bit unsightly from the outside, it’s trendy and modern inside. We loved the multi-level setting with a range of sunken seating, high bars and benches.
The menu had a huge range of appetizers, sushi and noodles. Which are also available to take away (hard to resist, when the restaurant is just around the corner!).
In the end we settled on spicy edamame, wakame seaweed salad, scallop nigiri, spicy tuna rolls and salmon maki. The food was freshly prepared and looked great served on a tremendous wooden board. But most importantly it tasted delicious.
I’d really recommend a visit to this great restaurant. Looking forward to trying some of their noodle dishes (and sake cocktails!) next time.
